Holiday Madness

Hello again!

I'm sorry that i've been away for quite a while. hehe, this is due to my group's Final Year Project. Me and my group members are so busy preparing for it that i have not been posting regularly here. But i promise once that it's done, i'll do more Daily Night Sketch and 3D Modelling.

But for now, i'm not sure if i had posted this drawing before. i did this about a month ago, but due to assignments, i haven't been really coloring it. So i did abit of colouring in photoshop and Sai, but i'm not going to post it in here yet. It'll be up during New Year's Eve! :D

Hi everyone!

As promised, i will be updating my works more often now, since it's school holidays. Anyway, i've just logged into my school site and my exam results are not released yet. I'm really anxious to know my results. Hopefully i maintained my grades and gpa points :)

I've gotten abit sidetracked from what i wanted to post about. so, i have been drawing hell alot now and now i'm almost finishing my fourth sketchbook! :) Most of them consist of my collection of human drawings. I'm kind of lousy at human proportions and kept aside one sketchbook specially to improve my human drawings. So these are some of my human drawings. I've improved a little abit, and still got my body proportion wrong at times. and yeah, one of them was an old work which i intended to colour, but in the end decided to improve on the perspective and the character itself. :)

^She's my western superhero. XD Alot of people like to ask me why you like to draw your characters with Afro hair? My answer will always be the same. I like it because it's different from my other characters. Usually characters with Afro hair shows the personality i have. :)

^one of my old animation layout. :) I redraw the perspective and make some changes on the proportion of the female character. It looks much better, I've start colouring now... but not just done yet!

Sketch update!

hi guys!

it has been awhile since i've updated any sketches to my blog. I do have some sketches, but i can't show all of them because they are kind of storyboard sketches and i have not really finish all of them, but there is one sketch i did out of boredom of doing storyboard.

might be colouring it in photoshop tomorrow, if i'm done with storyboard.

anyway, Wendy and i are doing some slight changes in our storyboard. Animatics of new Rapunzel film might be out on the third week of my holidays :)

i had another try at the candle last night. changed the design of the candle holder base. rendered with maya software at high quality. :/ gotta stop messing with this candle and start working with the other 4 objects for my assignment. hehe.

anyway, i drew this on paper last night. decided to try doing my line art in Flash. seems like there's so much to tweak on the line when it's done in flash. mental note to myself, do the line art in Photoshop next time xD

heyyo!

huhu! i was bored earlier on and decided to trace out one of my group member's drawing. i just added the worm, the foreground and the land.

took me about 2 hours to colour in photoshop. line work done in Flash. In the end i decided to make it into my blog banner since most of my updates here is my fyp. hehehe.

If the sheep was Wendy, the butterfly was Rosanne, the bear was Liza, the worm is Kai Yuan, WHO IS THE CAT?! =P

The Witch's Daughter

ola there, good afternoon!

Finally it's weekends! And finally today, i'm able to draw something in my sketchbook. it's quite a while since i drew something really nice. i call it "The Witch's Daughter". LOL.

I dunno where i got the inspiration to draw this. I ate very little for breakfast this morning. Mum fried nuggets and I made myself a cup of instant mocha and I was staring at this empty biscuit tin on the table and suddenly felt like drawing one of the princesses on the tin. so in the end, i came up with this. I'm not so sure what to draw for the background so I came up with moon and clouds. initially I drew a castle, but the princess's hand blocked the view of the castle, so in the end I gave up the castle and drew a big moon there so that the background won't look empty. I've also added some animals on the scene because i didn't want the scene to look cold and empty. I wanted the scene to look friendly, you know, like those in fairy tales. Since the focal point is on the princess and the butterfly (which is the witch's daughter), I made the animals look at her. hehehe.

so, anyway, I'm not sure if I'll let this remain as linework, because I am really kinda lazy to colour anything. Maybe I'll do it someday because right now I'm concentrating on drawing on my sketchbook because I was told by my lecturer that we need to have at least 3 sketchbooks by the time we graduate, and by the way, I'll be graduating next year, so that explains why I'm concentrating more on my sketchbook. hehehe.

And I'm leaving for Hong Kong in 15 days time. Time goes by very fast eh? And I still dread going for the vaccination this coming Tuesday. T_T i am so terrified with needles!

hello! today i'm in a very good mood. School's awesome today although the internet there keeps disconnecting for no bloody reason. I am finishing all my assignments soon, hehe, must keep looking on the bright side! the dark side is my test is on this Friday, hehehe, i haven't even got time to study with assignments going on!

to Kalyn, cheer up ehhh! Don't care about them! This kind of things happen. Even my teacher have ever teased me with one of my classmate (ok, bluff, it's two boys, ok.) just ignore them! The class will get over it. These kind of things will pass by very soon! smile and cheer up, ahhkays? ^3^

last night, out of boredom, i drew this. i swear it took me only an hour to come out with the girl, and another hour and a half to draw the foreground and pixies. i am still working on the colouring. my brain has gone haywire at the moment (so is the Photoshop)! so here's my linework:

so... this is the last few hours of 2010. i don't know what 2011 will bring to my life, but i hope it's something full of surprise and excitement. LOL. i don't think so much. i will be very busy with FYP. hopefully my group's short film, Rapunzel, will go smoothly, be it 2D or 3D! :DDD

hey hey again!

been so busy the last few days... and finally it's holidays! :D anyway, today i haven't got much things to update about. Life is very dry the last few days... I'm still working on my microsite. so I'll just post some of my old works.

This is my first character design assignment... the first assignment that gives me stress. i did two different characters because my teacher prefers this (above) rather than the female one i did. i was given 3 weeks to complete the two characters, and it's not only the turnaround i did, but with poses and expression. i earned an A+ for this assignment for all the stress I went through. and this gives me more hope to get all As for my Character Design assignment. xD I haven't coloured the female version of the snake, i won't be posting the sketchy version until i coloured that one :)

the edited version of the cowboy madness. i was asked to change the body of the cowboy and the legs of the horse to give it more action. This was pasted on my drawing class's Hall of Fame under Animation Layout. hehee xD

yay! one week of school is over, seven more left before another holiday. boo, why must there be a holiday? i love school so much! :D

anyway, i had a new ADP assignment, and I've come out with the sample design. Actually, it's been approved by my teacher so i only left colour testing. But i haven't start on the colour testing cos i've just come home, and my stomach's full of double cheese burger *heeeeeeeheeee*

hello again

been missing writing here. I've been trying to update regularly but I've been so busy with my assignment! Sorry once again, for not updating on my life instead. Hehe.


So.... my life has been... um, rather well, to say, if i could ignore the boy in my class who always irritate me (and the co-class advisor who still never remembers my name) my life has been going rather well. tired with assignments and stuffs but I'm enjoying my life as a single girl no matter what. i don't see a need of having boyfriends (now or future) so i am coping quite well with everything, like spending enough time with my family and able to concentrate more on my studies.


Anyway, my ADP teacher has return back my last two assignments. This is my first assignment which i got a B-. No surprises there. I remember i had just recover from a high fever and my hand was shaking like mad doing this assignment. The lines are not exactly straight thanks to the fever.






And for my second assignment:









I've got a B+ for this. ^_^ so cool! But i could have gotten an A- if i had shaded the original dolphin at the bottom of the page. the comment says it's a little too empty. But AT LEAST, i improve!



Anyway, i hope i maintain a B for all my ADP assignments. I'll cry if i get a C!

Liza helped me alot with shading and stuffs. She's so nice, and i really like her drawing alot. Look, she even draw a little boy for me in my sketch book, it's so cute! :D


Drawing Class, wise, I've been doing rather well. i saw my previous assignments that i got a B- and a B+ for the other. my teacher has not marked the perspective drawings yet, but i hope soon. i can't wait to see my grades. I hope i still secure a B+ for the perspective drawings :)



anyway, i should really log out now. (so bored at home, can't even go out because someone committed suicide at Sembawang MRT this afternoon. Zeeeesh!)
