Doodles!

Hi everyone!

As promised, i will be updating my works more often now, since it's school holidays. Anyway, i've just logged into my school site and my exam results are not released yet. I'm really anxious to know my results. Hopefully i maintained my grades and gpa points :)

I've gotten abit sidetracked from what i wanted to post about. so, i have been drawing hell alot now and now i'm almost finishing my fourth sketchbook! :) Most of them consist of my collection of human drawings. I'm kind of lousy at human proportions and kept aside one sketchbook specially to improve my human drawings. So these are some of my human drawings. I've improved a little abit, and still got my body proportion wrong at times. and yeah, one of them was an old work which i intended to colour, but in the end decided to improve on the perspective and the character itself. :)

^She's my western superhero. XD Alot of people like to ask me why you like to draw your characters with Afro hair? My answer will always be the same. I like it because it's different from my other characters. Usually characters with Afro hair shows the personality i have. :)

^one of my old animation layout. :) I redraw the perspective and make some changes on the proportion of the female character. It looks much better, I've start colouring now... but not just done yet!

Hey guys!

sorry that i've been quite busy with 3d rigging assignments in school that i had no time to update my blog! But here's something I've done in between lesson.

There are more drawings that i have done for the past few days, but i really haven't got any time to scan out my works. I know i still have to do it someday because i need to start creating my portfolio when the next term starts. oh yes, did i mention my exam will be held next week? Everything's kinda rush these few weeks, but i will try to get some time off from my busy schedule to update my blog, ya? :D

busy week!

hello guys!

I've been so busy with school work lately that i have not been updating my blog regularly. i am so sorry about it. There was just so much work to be done in school. i actually left the campus at 7.30pm yesterday because i was doing a group project with Wendy and Friends. At the moment, we have to put on hold our fyp film because we had to finish our lifeskills project, so i am sorry too, for not updating anything about our upcoming Rapunzel short film.

well currently right now, Wendy and Friends have been working hard to do our lifeskills project. We're going to Sunbeam's Place this Monday to teach little kids about drawings. My groupmates have been doing masks for them as a gift. i helped abit too, especially drawing masks of Spongebob, Patrick and Chowder. I'm also in charge of doing the showreel of our previous works. I'm still working on the showreel though. But i think i will post the showreel on Monday night if i have the time. The showreel consists of works done by Wendy, Liza, Rosanne, Kai Yuan and me.

Also, i have another update, that is, on this coming Tuesday, i will be on full shift to do presentation for my ITE College Central principals and board of directors. I haven't done presentation in front of a big crowd for a long time, so i'm kinda nervous about it. What if my voice failed me on the presentation day? lol. wish me best of luck for it!

sketch updates!

hi everyone!

i'm so sorry! I've been very busy with school assignments and project, and i realised that i haven't been writing any proper updates! i'm really sorry, but i'll try to do a proper update of my life soon. it's been hectic in school. there's just so much to do and so much to learn so i can't miss my classes.

anyway, no matter how busy i was, i had to draw something on my sketchbook. so here they are:

a simple boy character. my friends says it look abit like my drawing lecturer, i think it looks abit like Strawhead. xD

my FYP character Rapunzel loves to dance, so did a pose study with my own character during my free time in 3d class.

i haven't been drawing layouts for quite some time. i will tey to challenge myself to draw another layout in between my little free time in school. so stay tuned to more of my works! :D

hello! I'm back!

and i promise a not-so-short update of my life today!

As you know, I've been busy with my 3D classes the last few days, and i haven't been able to write alot of things. I'm also desperately trying to clear up my third sketchbook by this June, hopefully, so that I'll have enough time to concentrate on my fourth sketchbook and some drawings for my 20 pieces of A3 paper for portfolio. yeah, I'm graduating this year and there's a lot of things to clear up. i was thinking of redoing my Flash portfolio but i haven't had any idea on what should i start on. my brain juice is running low for this week. And as for my group's FYP film, we are still trying to gather ideas for the ending. truth to be told, i can't think of much ideas. hehehe

but anyway, i have some new sketches done during in-between my free time in class and at home. i don't draw much now to 3D modelling up to my neck but i still try to fit the time to draw because we need to graduate with 4 sketchbooks next April. so, here they are. I've picked some nice ones to publish here.

oh yes, it's the polling day today. can't wait to see the results. will we have a new government today?? ;D

whatever it its, i hope everyone will choose wisely because in a few years time, I'll be pretty much involve in the outside world :)

school is reopening in 3 days time! i can't wait for class to resume! can't wait to learn 3D animation and Advance 2D animation! i haven't touch on Maya for a long time! hehehe!

anyway,while i was in HKDI, we went for Visual Drawing class. The module they are doing is so much different from the kind we had in Singapore. It's more into art, and expressing your thoughts and feelings in art. however for us, animation, we were taught drawing techniques, to draw what we see rather than draw what we feel. so it was really different from what i was taught and it was really a good experience because i have never done visual drawings. anyway, i didn't really understand much when the Hong Kong lecturers taught us visual drawing although they showed us samples, maybe it's because it's my first class. The theme was to express yourself and the way i express things about myself is more like doing character design. This is what i draw:

i miss Hong Kong and the super cooling weather there. x)

and trust me, i am HIGH today, so bear with me and my nonsense :D

alright, today is my sketchbook presentation day, and i am seriously telling you that this presentation is one of my most memorable presentation ever, because one thing, I have achieved my goal which is, my drawings/animation is for entertainment purposes, and this time, I have a feeling, though not entirely sure of that, I'm getting a better grade for my holiday assignment!!!! woo wee waaa!!! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD

and what happen during my presentation:

1. the moment i come with my sketchbook and show my holiday assignment on the projector thingy, the whole class started laughing, including Mr Huey, my drawing teacher. this was what was on the first page of my sketchbook (the holiday assignment one):

my first thought was, what, why are yall laughing? and i was like, "eh, don't laugh laaaa~" and Mr Huey stopped laughing and said, "No, we're not laughing because it's not nice, but it's REALLY FUNNY!" and I look at the projector screen there and wonder what was seriously funny about my character poses.

my teacher likes the accusing pose, because there is line of action :) yayness me.

and my teacher gave me alot of praises for the hand gestures, because i used boxes for the hands. he said most professionals used boxes to draw hands instead of the countour because this is to know where the side plan and front plane and blah blah blah.

I only upload one page of my hand gestures because it's not that worth to look at all. pictures are not nice, but I rather you look into my sketchbook itself. nicer there :P

and after that i showed my normal sketchbook, the ones that i normally sketch my nonsensical stuffs on and each page I turn to show them felt like days and hours, because the class were laughing at all my weird sketches.

i draw Wendy's future boyfriend. Lols. she says she will murder this guy before she dies. :P

and this is one of my figure drawings i did last night. yes, it's nude, hey but so what? i imagine, not look at naked woman and draw. heheheee :DDD but the feet is weird because i draw this when i was half sleepy.
